Fishing Report - 8/2/19

Hello, everyone!

Well, if you've been watching the live river cam this week, or checking the flow, you've seen what we've been waiting for!  :-)

The water, which has been ramping up and down daily pretty consistently for weeks, is overall running higher (like peaks and valleys, but the valleys aren't as low and the peaks are still the same.)

Big water means Big Fish are always gonna be hungry!

What's been working this week?  Quite a lot of things.

For the Spin Fishers - Rapala Countdowns - Brown Trout and (surprisingly) the Brook Trout patterns are really taking off.  River rigs with Pink/white mousetails AND Red/Natural are working as well.  Put your spoons away once the water comes up over about 10,000 cfs...  yes, they've been working really well, but with the water gradually getting bigger, I think it's going to be crankbait time.

Fly fishers...  Think BIG.  Streamers, sculpin patterns, regular old bead head woolly buggers.
